Store Pickup

For our local customers, we offer in store pickup.  We will have your order ready the next day during our regular store hours.  If you would like to pick it up on the same day, please call the store directly and let us know so that we can have it ready for you.  Bring your order confirmation email as proof of payment.

Delayed Shipping

If you would like us to hold your order for shipping on a later date, please indicate this in the “Order Notes” when checking out.

Shipping Guidelines

Allô! Chocolat only sends out items that are fresh and beautiful.  Since chocolate is very sensitive to excess cold, heat and humidity, please follow these shipping instructions carefully so that the receiver of your shipment is able to appreciate the quality of our products, as well as your thoughtfulness!

We ship throughout the United States.  Orders to Alaska and Hawaii require additional care with an additional charge.  We will contact you regarding shipping costs and options. Orders going to the following states:  AZ. CA. FL, HI and TX require warm weather packaging year round.  Please choose “Ice Packed and Insulated”.

Most orders are shipped from Monday through Wednesday to ensure delivery before the weekend.  Orders received after 12:00PM CST Wednesday will ship the following Monday.  Orders to Wisconsin and the Chicago area can be shipped on Thursday.  Some orders may be held until the following Monday to be certain that your item is not sitting on a truck or in a warehouse for the weekend.

In order to maximize freshness, we keep our inventory small.  If an item is temporarily out of stock, a delay may be necessary due to our production cycle.

Our packages are delivered without a required signature.  When shipping to a warm weather location please notify the recipient of when to expect the delivery to reduce the risk of melt.

Freshness & Shipping

Store chocolates in a cool, dry place between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit.  Humidity should be within 45 and 55%.

Warm Weather and Shipping Considerations

Allô! Chocolat is not responsible for chocolates that melt during shipping, but our mission is to assist you in making sure that your delivery is successful and in good condition.  After your order is placed we may contact you to consider an upgrade to 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air shipping if the delivery location is projected to have a temperature above 70 degrees.  Additionally, we are not responsible for missing, stolen or damaged packages after they are delivered to the address specified by the customer or for orders returned or delayed due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses. Please confirm all addresses before placing your order.

We strongly recommend that ALL orders placed between April 1st and September 30th are packed in ice to ensure the quality of chocolates to all destinations.  Without selecting “Ship with Ice and Insulation” we cannot prevent melted chocolates.  Please check the projected weather conditions for delivery location to help you determine what shipping method is best and if ice is needed.
