Our Story

IgielskisCarrie and Roger Igielski have lived in Waukesha for over 35 years.  They have two adult children who live in Waukesha as well and three incredible grandchildren.  With the creation of the Riverwalk many years ago, the Igielski’s  found it to be a beautiful place to walk and began making the downtown Friday Night Live free music nights a part of their weekly routine.  When an opportunity arose to have a business in the downtown they jumped at it!  That was in September of 2006.  As they’ve become involved in the leadership of the downtown in their “spare” time, ironically, Roger had the privilege of coordinating the Friday Night Live music series, giving others the opportunity to spend time with friends while strolling, dining and shopping!

IMG_2474As for the chocolate shop, Carrie and Roger have worked hard to refine their processes and think creatively to bring forth high quality products to meet the requests of their customers and create a destination spot to enjoy sweet treats during downtown activities, holiday seasons, and for special events such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, new babies, etc.  Carrie continuously looks for fun and elegant packaging so that their customers can give that special person a beautiful gift that provides an impressive presentation and a delightfully delicious treat!  Allô! Chocolat also has a host of corporate accounts.  They can put your employees on a birthday treat program, they do party trays for meetings, elegant gold foiled boxes of various sizes, and wonderful gift baskets for those special clients or employees.

New creations recently developed include a series of beautiful artisasipping chocn meltaways and truffles including the tailgater (beer), the Aztec (chipotle and chili) and the Royal Raspberry heart.  Additional fun creations, depending on the season, include chocolate covered strawberries, large chocolate/caramel apples, fortune cookies, Nutter Butter reindeer cookies, and bacon—yes, you read right, bacon—sounds like an odd combination, but it has become so popular!  Sipping chocolate is another new offering….think of what it would be like to drink a truffle…..thick, rich, decadent….mmmmm!!!

Carrie says that the chocolate business is a happy one—everyone comes in smiling and leaves smiling!  She further states that “Our customers are the best.  They’re such a blessing to serve aAllo signnd I love hearing the stories about who they are buying a treat for.”

All in all, Allô! Chocolat (which is French for “Hello! Chocolate”) is the “Sweetest Spot in Historic Downtown Waukesha.”  Stop in soon to satisfy your chocolate cravings!
